This Kasumi Kuro Santoku knife is a medium sized knife, great for multiple use. It has a Molybdenum vanadium steel (AUS8) blade. Both sides of the blade have Damasucs patterns. It has a hardness of 58. The shape of the handle is an octagon out of laminated reinforced wood. It has a really straight blade so that you can cut down to the board without having to make a horizontal slicing action. It is hammered finish and very sharp. Made in Japan.
